Newsletter December 2023 - The new European thresholds applicable to public contracts from January 1st, 2024

On November 16, 2023, four European Commission Delegated Regulations were published in the Official Journal of the European Union, setting the thresholds applicable to public contracts that may be adjudicated without the need to publish a notice in the Official Journal of the European Union for 2024 and 2025.

Thus, pursuant to Article 6(1) of Directive 2014/24/EU on public procurement, and in accordance with the provisions of Article 474(5) of the Public Procurement Code, every two years, the European Commission updates the thresholds referred to in Article 4(a), (b) and (c) of that Directive in accordance with the values provided for the thresholds established in the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement.
